The combination of countryside, coastline and the sea in South Devon means it is the perfect destination for outdoor adventures! Whether you want to try an activity for the first time, or want to continue with a favourite hobby, the area provides plenty of scope for sports and outdoor pursuits.

Surfing
The best locations for surfing and body boarding are Bantham, Bigbury, Challaborough. You can check the surf report online at Magic Seaweed.
There are two local surf schools- Bantham Surfing Academy and Discovery Surfing.

We highly recommend Dittiscombe Equestrian Centre (our children enjoy riding lessons there). It is about a 20 minute drive away.
