The Royal House is a large home ideal for large families or two families holidaying together.  You approach along a sweeping private driveway and discover the house hidden behind a formal yew hedge and ancient beech trees.

It has an expansive drawing room with a Boudoir Grand Piano for those budding pianists and comfortable seating for eight with an open fireplace. Measuring 6.5 by 5 metres, it has tall ceilings with French doors which lead out on to the balcony with views of the gardens below. In addition, there is a playroom of equal size for younger ones to while away the hours, with a variety of toys provided. The spacious kitchen diner has been fitted to a high specification and includes an Aga and a double sided wood burning stove. The separate utility, also provides a comfortable home for a dog, has a washing machine and freezer.

The open plan kitchen and breakfast room opens out onto a private terrace. Breakfast can be eaten in the sunshine here, or lunch al fresco and even a delicious BBQ after a day at the beach.

Up the sweeping wide staircase you reach the three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super kingsize bed, 210cm long and 188cm wide, with an en-suite shower room. The twin bedroom has a magnificent pair of Belgian antique walnut single beds which can (if you ask us) be fitted together to form a double bed, 200cm long and 174cm wide. Finally there is a children's bedroom with bunk beds and a further single and a family bathroom with bath and shower.

All the rooms, with high ceilings and large sash windows, provide ample space for a large family or two and have magnificent views across the gardens and to the fields beyond. The Royal rooms are furnished eclectically and feel like a part of your home immediately on arrival.

The Royal House can be combined with the Lawn Apartment to accommodate an extended family or larger group of people up to eleven plus a baby.
