A luxurious private hideaway with a sunny terrace and a super-king size bed, the Garden Rooms is especially popular with honeymooners and with couples looking for a romantic retreat or a peaceful break. Garden enthusiasts love it because of the views from the terrace and it is ideal for foot-weary walkers in need of relaxation and comfort. Although suitable for couples with a young baby, the apartment is not recommended for couples with toddlers/crawling babies due to the raised, unfenced terrace.

After climbing the stone steps, enter through the stable door entrance. Another antique door takes you into a large oak-floored, open-plan living area, the centrepiece of which is the handsome wood-burning stove. In the winter, relax on the comfy Wesley Barrell sofa in front of the fire, or in the summer months, sit with terrace doors open, let the sun flood in and enjoy the fresh air.

Beyond the sitting area, the small but perfectly formed fitted kitchen has granite worktops and a larder fridge/freezer, an electric oven with gas hob and a dishwasher. White Company crockery, glasses and cookware, together with a food blender, juicer and many more useful gadgets are hidden away in the cupboards. Cutlery and other equipment are tucked away in the oak sideboard in the living area and a separate boot room houses the washing machine and a microwave. A tumble dryer is available, if you need it, in the Laundry Room opposite reception. The dining table and four chairs are antique mahogany perfect for a candlelit dinner for two. For your entertainment, there is a 32 flat-screen TV with Sky non-subscription channels and a DVD player, a range of books and games. A selection of DVDs is available from reception. There is also a radio/CD plus an iPod player.

A set of double doors leads to a separate toilet and a bathroom with complimentary organic toiletries for the bath and shower, under-floor heating and a heated towel rail. Beyond these is the calm, tranquil bedroom where a huge, heavenly bed (W220cm x L210cm) awaits you. The Bilbao bed, made from sustainable beech wood, has an organic latex and cotton mattress covered in organic linen with a chenille organic throw.

This secluded pied-a-terre faces south-west and the views from the private terrace are spectacular, so it's easy to while away an hour or two enjoying the tranquil view of the ponds and fields beyond. You can walk out from either of the two sets of French doors onto the terrace to a wooden table and reclining chairs, where you can enjoy the sunshine or sit under the parasol with a good book. In the evening, cook on the barbecue and eat al fresco as you watch the sun going down and listen to the birdsong. We do accept a well behaved dog in the Garden Rooms for which we make a charge.
