Overview

The accommodation we aim to provide a ‘home from ‘home’ experience. By this we mean comfort and luxury at a five star level yet kind to the planet, that you are used to at home or even better! The kitchens are supplied with ample crockery, cutlery, glassware and equipment. Anything that isn’t there we may be able to help with – it is always worth asking!

The children’s bedrooms have a range of toys provided to suit the ages of the children staying. Books, magazines and indoor games are provided for all ages.

The extra items that may be of use that are available are:

1. cot or travel cot with linen and toys!
2. high chair
3. toddlers wooden chair
4. toddler’s foot stool so they can reach the basin!
5. picnic basket or back pack
6. wind break
7. babysitter – police checked and with a paediatric first aid certificate

The gardens offer a ‘Swallows and Amazons’ or Famous Five experience, with rope ladders and swings and woods to conquer! There is also a nature trail to follow for children and adults alike! They also offer an amazing number of unique and old plants and trees, some of which date back to1840. Some children’s toys will be provided where appropriate for outside games.

Garden Rooms

This is provided with a washing machine, washing basket, pegs, washing line and clothes maid, with a tumble drier available if required, in the garage opposite the main house. An ironing board and iron are also supplied.

A larder fridge and freezer will house more than you need! You will find a dish washer, microwave, food blender, juice extractor and many more useful items in the cupboards and draws!

For your entertainment, there is a 32” television, DVD player, Sky and hi-fi. We even supply a range of DVD’s. You can walk out from either of the two French doors onto the south west facing private terrace to an iron table and chairs and a BBQ for an al fresco experience.

Lawn Apartment

A washing machine and a tumble dryer are available in an adjacent nearby outbuilding, which can be seen from your kitchen window. There are two washing lines available. There is a clothes airer inside as well as an ironing board and iron.

The open plan kitchen houses an integral dishwasher, larder fridge and freezer, electric oven and gas hob. You will find a dish washer, microwave, food blender, juice extractor and many more useful items in the cupboards and draws!

For your entertainment, there is a 32” television, DVD player, Sky and hi-fi. We even supply a range of DVD’s. A large door opens out form the sitting room onto the private terrace where a wooden table and chairs, with umbrella and a BBQ beckon you for those al fresco occasions.

Coach House

Here you are provided with a washing machine, washing basket, pegs and washing line, with a tumble drier available if required, in the garage opposite the main house. There is a clothes airer inside as well. An ironing board and iron can be found along with a vacuum cleaner and mop! There is always the shed available which houses the bio-mass boiler for drying wet walking boots and clothes. An ironing board and iron are also supplied.

The open plan kitchen houses an integral dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine, electric oven and hob. You will find a food blender, juice extractor and many more useful items in the cupboards and draws!

For your entertainment, there is a 32” television, DVD player, Sky and hi-fi. We even supply a range of DVDs and a huge bookcase full books and games!

Through the stable door from the sitting room is your private terrace with tables and chairs and BBQ.

The Royal House

As this is our family home for most of the year, you should be more than adequately provided for in this spacious and comfortable home. There is a larder available to you, 3m by 2.5m. Anything you use we have an honesty form for you to complete and be charged for. This larder also houses a large fridge and small freezer. An ironing board and iron are also supplied.

The open plan kitchen houses an integral dishwasher, fridge, oven and gas hob, as well as a gas Aga. The cupboards house lots of saucepans and equipment for you to use. The utility room provides an extra sink and a 9kg washing machine and tumble dryer. An ironing board and iron can be found along with vacuum cleaner and mop!

The Drawing Room has a 42” television, DVD, video player and a boudoir grand piano. The kitchen has a hi-fi and a 24” television too.

The French doors from the open plan kitchen and diner lead out on to a terrace where a Weber gas BBQ is available for those al fresco meals!

Goodies

If you stay for a week or more, you will be greeted with a large hamper full of local produce, and often, organic too! When in season, our head gardener, Rose, will leave you a basket of home grown organic vegetables and fruit.

Each of you will also have a complimentary bag of aromatherapy toiletries to make your stay that extra special. Along with the fresh flowers form our garden, we hope this makes your stay truly luxurious!
